Logistics drone startup Scandron has secured the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA's) type certification for its logistics drone CargoMax 500HE.

Bengaluru-based drone manufacturer, Scandron, aims to transform logistics in commercial and defence sectors following its landmark achievement of receiving the DGCA Type Certificate for its logistics drone – CargoMax 500HE.

The launch of a DGCA Type Approved logistics drone facilitates critical medical deliveries to remote regions, streamlines e-commerce logistics, and enhances mid and last-mile delivery, Scandron Pvt Ltd said in a statement.

The CargoMax 500HE is India 1st type Certified Logistics Drone for transportation of goods. The system is ideal for moving goods between warehouses or delivering material at remote locations. The CargoMax 500HED is designed to serve the needs of Defence Forces and can operate at altitudes above 4,500 m (AMSL) in subzero temperatures.
